to the iGardeners Directory, accessible here, then browse to a category page where you think your web site fits best. Note that we welcome reasonable category suggestions but that your site MUST somehow be related to gardening in order to be accepted. Then click on
'Add Url' at the top of this category page to add your web site to the index.
There is an initial review fee of $25 to submit your site to iGardeners. This fee is not refundable, regardless of whether your site is accepted. Additionally, there is a $25 annual renewal fee, the first of which will be charged on the one year anniversary of your submission. We believe that this fee is money well spent. The value is not so much incremental traffic as, let's face it, we're not Yahoo. Instead, the value here comes from relevance, perception, and price.
With regard to relevance, iGardeners is a site that is all about gardening, and nothing else, making the relevance of a link from the site significantly more valuable, from a search ranking perspective, to a garden related site. As for perception, iGardeners consists of thousands of individual pages, including numerous original content articles related to gardening. Thus, we believe that search engines will view iGardeners as a more consequential gardening related site, once again enhancing the value of a link from it to another gardening related site. Finally, the price is right. An annual fee of $25 compares quite favorably with other directories, most of which charge this amount or more, and generally are not as relevant.
